Based in the UK I run a website called paydaylendersonly.co.uk. It write about payday loans lenders as a hobby because I got really bored of people at work asking for information about it.
You can apply, you can see how they work, and I have now started writing up all the answers to the usual questions I get asked (or I overhear).
Why payday lenders only? Basically because I found that those companies that focus purely on payday loans seem to give better service and assistance to their customers. Unlike the banks which have many products, many of which can even seem the same this way you know if you want a payday loan that is what you are going to get.
Before you do chose a payday lender it is important to make sure you are speaking to both a cheap and reputable provider. This is not as easy as it seems but here is my quick guide to helping you find the right one for you:
Step 1)
Ask friends and family if they can lend you the money instead. They will nearly always be cheaper.
Step 2)
Write down the list of potential lenders.
Step 3)
Check everything you can about them online. See what people are saying about them on forums and social media like Twitter or Facebook. If the general view is a company sucks, they probably do!
Step 4)
Compare the rates you will pay. You can use the APR but you can also use the “Cost per £100 borrowed” as it is much easier.
Step 5)
Compare how their charges work both when setting up the loan and what happens if you do not repay the loan within the 30 days or miss a payment.
Payday loans are really good at covering you when you are in trouble but do make sure you repay it on time no matter what. Borrow responsibly.
